I paid $1300 for a radiator replacement when the radiator icon came on. After repair was made, icon kept coming on. Returned car to shop today was told that air sometimes gets trapped in the system and it “ burps “ out at times causing the icon to light up. I was assured that the radiator did indeed need to be replaced. But for the icon to light up after the service was performed made me suspicious…. The gentleman at the desk was very polite in explaining what had happened.

I took my 2012 Dodge Challenger here to have some headers installed after market modification. Anyway, they did a great job. I asked them to do a inspection and they did the most thorough inspection. I've ever had done in any of my cars. I will be bringing my car to them for future repairs, etc

I’ve been using Catalpa for decades regarding my 2001 bmw E 46 330 Ci Convertible. The company was purchased by talented new owners a few years ago. They are professional and do excellent work and stand behind their guarantees. My car has 175,000 miles but runs great thanks to their care! If you have a bmw or mini cooper they’re the place to go in Santa Cruz.

The staff at catalpa are very professional. I had an issue trying to get a smog check on my old BMW they did Diagnostics on it and figured out why it wouldn't pass and made it so that it would pass and they didn't charge a lot of money to do it I highly recommend them Vic and staff are the right ones to see.

I have been on a mission to get my VW Golf TDI emissions up to standard. Catalpa has been the only shop that could speak & work intelligently on my car. I called 10 shops, and mean 10 shops to try and get my car in. This is german car with style and performance! I came in to check on a noise in the front end of my X5 and I had an appt at 8:00 am. They listened to me and went right to work on my car to diagnose the problem. They checked the front suspension thoroughly, giving me a diagnostic report with photos and then charged me the amount I agreed to at the start. It was all done promptly and I was very pleased with the service and the people.

I brought my 4 series to Catalpa after getting a laundry list type quote from the dealership that included $100 for "standard scope" (running a scan); new key battery, which isn't needed; new wipers even though there's no rain and I'm driving 3 miles a week in the pandemic; and spark plugs that are not due for another 20,000 miles. Catalpa performed the work that was actually needed for roughly 43% less than the dealer's quote with honesty, promptness, and professionalism.

BMW repair experts, this shop has deep knowledge of the BMW car lineup and has offered their services in Santa Cruz for more than 30 years. I just had plenty of maintenance and repair work done by Catalpa St BMW Specialists on my 2010 BMW X3 @ 98K miles (new water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, valve cover and gaskets, new brakes and rotors, etc). All work was done efficiently, they showed me the parts they replaced, and the invoice fairly reflected the time, expertise and new parts which were required. I recommend them to any BMW owner without hesitation.
